Post subject: what is clairaudience?
clairaudience means 'psychic hearing abilitys'. a clairaudient person receives psychic information in the form of sounds, words, voices or some people 'just know' as if they had just heard about them. automatic writing and psychic art relys upon clairaudience.
In the field of parapsychology, clairaudience [from late 17th century French clair (clear) & audience (hearing)] is a form of extra-sensory perception wherein a person acquires information by paranormal auditory means. It is often considered to be a form of clairvoyance.
Clairaudience is essentially the ability to hear in a paranormal manner, as opposed to paranormal seeing (clairvoyance) and feeling (clairsentience). Clairaudient people have psi-mediated hearing. Clairaudience may refer not to actual perception of sound, but may instead indicate impressions of the "inner mental ear" similar to the way many people think words without having auditory impressions. But it may also refer to actual perception of sounds such as voices, tones, or noises which are not apparent to other humans or to recording equipment. For instance, a clairaudient person might claim to hear the voices or thoughts of the spirits of persons who are deceased. Clairaudience may be positively distinguished from the voices heard by the mentally ill when it reveals information unavailable to the clairaudient person by normal means (including cold reading or other magic tricks), and thus may be termed "psychic" or paranormal.

Post subject: A different perspective.
I disagree that the mentally clairaudient are not mediumistic. I think it is an invasion of spirit people who have no respect for the individual. I do not think it is possession, but a more stubborn and often a frightened spirit. It is more difficult to help people who are experiencing uncontrolable voices invading them, as the political implications would have to cause the people of our world to face themselves.

The medical profession is lacking in knowledge of the human brain. As man is to arrogant to admit that they do not know it all. So dismissive of the spiritual-self. Mediumship was labeled as psychosis, the same as schitzophrenics are told they are delusional. I believe they are as mediumistic as any other individual. After all these gifts are available to all.

A psychiatrist, Carl Wickland, MD, wrote Thirty Years Among the Dead regarding the mentally ill hearing voices and it being spirit input. Very intresting read.

There are some who hear voices that are very destructive. While lower entities can and do impose on human agency, the fact is...could there be another mental explanation?

Post subject: Dr Carl Wickland. Recomended reading
I agree with Dr Carl Wickland! The universe is full of everything that has been imagined and much more. I feel priviledge and at times cursed as being spiritually aware brings great responsibility in all actions, thought's and deeds. But, the greater one's knowledge the less free will.

Another subject.

I can not think of any other reason why one should experience uninvited voices, other than lower vibrations of spirit people, due to what ever reason they have found themselves on those planes. Just like our plane of earthly spirits, which fluctuates in between.

Of Course their are elementals and other forms, that may decide to influence one who is not in control of their spiritual door way, But those experiences can be addressed and often symptoms relieved.
