my grandad died in a tragic accident.he burnt alive in a fire and with him my dog.we lived quite close to the house near where he died, and occasionaly we could smell smoke and ive always said "its grandad". once my mother in law came to babysit and i said dont sit in that chair as grandad comes to sit in it,she laughed but that night mum tried to move the chair and couldnt(saying she was freaked out was an understatement).
he basically came with us to the next house.my husband has seen him on the stairs and in our childs room.we can always tell when hes near as i get a very funny feeling and the smell of smoke.he was a very kind and gentle man,and much to the annoyance of his other grandchildren i was his favourite,i was the only one who got a visit from him when i was born,he never did that with the others.after 18 years i still miss him and have never got over his death.i do believe that theres something after death.two years ago at my mums home she went downstairs to get a drink .she'd only been in bed for around 30 mins ,so wasnt tired.she could smell smoke so she went in to the lounge and who was there at the fire place but grandad and my dog! she was so scared that she left the drink and hid under the duvet!shes only seen him twice but i do see him often.
its so strange why hes with me and not even visited his wife! my cousin has seen him once about 5 years ago.but i knew he had died as he was in my room that afternoon.nothing to say that i miss him

It seems your Grandad draws very close to you. You knew he loved you.
He must have been dis approving to scare your mum into leaving her drink. Or was that his way of proving life continues.
Your Dog also brings your Grandad to visit you. You are truly loved.
He is at peace, so do not feel sad, look forward to when he meets you again and feel strength in knowing every time you need him, he is willingly with you. Your guide.
I felt sad when I read your story. |

| hi...i do feel sad but i know hes with me all of the time.i felt he did love me and still does .you know when something bad happens ,then something good counteracts it i know thats from him.i only have one picture of my grandad ,so i decided that i would take a picture of it and it was surrounded with orbs.there are certain places in my home that i know where hes been because of orbs.im so interested in the supernatural and i know when its my time to go i know that he will be waitiing for me.i miss him so much ,just to talk to i dont know if hes at peace do they say that if they havent crossed ,that theres something still to do? i dont know.i wonder why he hasnt visited his wife. i dont talk to my gran as she told me 6 months after he died that she didnt love him and that she was glad of his passing and that she should have married his brother...i was astounded and we havent spoken since,i still say to this day that in someway she killed him as she left clothes in front of the fire to dry and put the vacuum behind the airer to hold it up.it melted and then set alight..... |

| Hi Annie - that's such a sad story, but I'm also pleased for you that you've had contact with your grandad and your dog. You obviously have a very close bond, one that continues to strengthen. It must be comforting to know he's with you. |

I'm sure he's at peace now, but it doesn't make the circumstances in which he passed easier for you to bear. It's lovely that you know you'll see him again one day. I really hope to see my mum again too.
