About 3-4 years ago, I was saying goodbye to a friend at the train station when she said 'watch your back on the way back to work'. We went our separate ways. At first I thought it was a strange thing to say, but soon forgot it. Anyway 10 mins later and just round the corner from work, I get a feeling I should keep my eye on the person walking behind me. It felt as if my something was bristling my aura if that makes sense. So, remembering my friend's parting words, I slowed down to allow the person to overtake me. He did but dawdled in front of me. We eventually reached the street with my office on and there was no one but us around. The guy suddenly stopped and turned to face me. Petrified I jumped into the street and legged it to our office!! I told my boss and he got in his car to see if he could find the man, but didn't have any joy.
My friend who I left at the train station, rang me not long after to say she didn't know what made her say 'watch your back' - that it's not something she normally says! She's a spiritual person too and understood why as soon as I told her.
This isn't the first time iI've picked up on unsavoury characters. I'm very sensitive and just 'know' if someone is threatening. A stranger once walked past me in the street and I suddenly felt ill, sick to the stomach, until they passed. It lasted for a good few seconds and I just knew that person wasn't to be trusted and that they were making me feel like that. Fortunately it doesn't happen very often!!

The same happens to me too. People often feel they can confide in me, even though I don't always feel qualified to help. It can be nice as I like to help others as much as I can, but I have to be careful that people don't take advantage of my benevolent nature. Someone once told me I would be good at cheering up hospital patients, Princess Diana style! Funny as my sister is a carer and works in a hospice and people often said she looked like Diana. It's such a lovely compliment (and I agreed as can see me doing something like it). |
