Post subject: Higher self
Have just read your post , Pinkpsychic, about spirit guides often being in contact with our higher selves, and our earthy plane selves not aware of it.

I think this goes to explain why I sometimes hear myself in my dreams say, ahhh I understand now, or, yes that makes sense. But on waking, I can't remember what I learnt no matter how much I try to grab at it. So frustrating! I've always been aware of my higher self, even before I read about higher selves.

This is really hard to explain, but sometimes I worry that if I keep coming to Earth to learn lessons, I won't remember what it's like in Spirit. I know we need amnesia during our earthly incarnations to focus on our path, as we'd forever be away with the fairies! I'm sure it's why I find meditation so addictive - the feeling achieved is similar to being in Spirit I'm sure.

Hope you understand my ramblings!

Yes, and the moment in my dream when everything makes sense is so fab. It's like everything fits into place and I feel a sense of relief and accomplishment.

I've had other really vivid dreams where I've been visited by my mum or guardians and they've given me some valuable information. My friend told me these dreams are instructional dreams. Does that make sense? I remember everything I've been told, so maybe the info was given to my 'lower' self too?

I wish I had more of these dreams!

Talking about dreams, I often suddenly wake from a dream, panicking, my heart racing. It takes a few seconds for me to realise I'm ok. I probably need to cut down on the caffeine , but someone once suggested my soul/spirit had been wandering and my sudden waking up is my spirit reconnecting with my body.

I am more inclined to think it's due to caffeine (am very sensitive to it - making a conscious effort to cut down). Sometimes I wake up thinking there is someone next to my bed, pestering me. This is probably an old sleeping pattern - I've never slept well owing to an overactive imagination - but I wonder if spirit is trying to make contact? They know I'm in a relaxed state, so it could be possible. but once I wake up I'm very panicky and can really sense something there. I go back to sleep grounding and protecting myself as don't like being scared. Could it be a bad spirit bothering me?

Yes they are night terrors. Spoke to a psychiatrist about it a few years ago and was told I suffer from them, that they're natural, nothing to be worried about, but more common in children than adults. I sometimes wake up thinking I'm dying or about to have a heart attack, they're the worst ones. Doesn't help if I'd had too much sugar that day!!

I do the same for my little girl.

It's easy to forget to wind down before going to bed. Keep meaning to have a bedtime drink such as camomile and honey tea.

The information that we are given from spirit realms usually manifests in some way, with someone we may be helping during the next few days. How often do you realize that an answer came into your head that you were not truly experienced in to make that answer? There is little waste in spirit and the energies we accumulate as knowledge will aid our journey in service to others.
