Me again! I'm trying to get in touch with a friend I lost touch with a few years ago. We were like soulmates, definitely on the same wavelength, but gradually lost touch when I married and moved away.
Without wanting to pester her, I sent her a card and photo last year but heard nothing back. I appreciate that people come into our lives and not are all there to stay. Is there anyway I can get her to think of contacting me? Or should I let it all lie?
Will be grateful for your thoughts. Thanks

If you were that close, I would most deffo contact her again. If only for the simple reason that maybe the first letter was lost in the post. I'd never forgive myself if It had and I hadn't bothered to follow it up. Try again, saying that you just wanted to make sure she'd recieved the first, and also say that you understand if she doesn't reply. It could be that she's moved also, and if a second letter is going to that address, maybe the new tenants would open the letter and reply telling you so. I know I would if i'f had two handwritten letters sent to me adressed to someone else :)
Good luck ! _________________

Thanks Debbie. I've given it some thought and decided to leave it. I know she's definitely at the same address. If she's meant to get in touch, then she will. I know she's busy with work commitments and am sure she thinks of me from time to time. I appreciate people sometimes come into your life for a short period of time, then move on and I'm glad she did as we had lots of fun and she was a great friend.
Thanks for your reply Debbie |
